  40.    *  Added Decision Analysis Program, allowing amortization
  41.       analysis, depreciation tables (straight line & sum of
  42.       the years), development of salvage value using
  43.       inflation plus building decay & obsolescence, the 6
  44.       compound interest algorithms, discounted differential
  45.       cash flow analysis, and return on investment (internal
  46.       rate of return) analysis.
  47.    *  Added Statistical Analysis Program, develops table of
  48.       random numbers for predetermined sample size (showing
  49.       which number to select, normal distribution, universe
  50.       standard deviation, ``t'' Test, CHI-SQUARE Test,
  51.       confidence limits from ``t'' and chi-square, linear
  52.       regression and correlation.
  53.    *  Added Element Analysis Program for development of MTM
  54.       forms by certified MTM analysts.  MTM application data
  55.       is not supplied.  Forms generated are Element Analysis
  56.       (Methods Analysis) Chart and a summary sheet.
  57.       Frequencies are automatically included in total TMU, a
  58.       sub total for each element is developed, and a total
  59.       for the chart is developed and then converted to hours,
  60.       minutes, and seconds.  The printouts number the pages.
  61.       Interface with PC_Key Draw is allowed for development
  62.       of Parts Sketches and Workplace Layout Sketches.

  64. VERSION 3.0 (11-15-91)
  65.    *  Added Complement & Schedules program allowing
  66.       development of complement data base, that shows name,
  67.       address, telephone, social security number, salary, job
  68.       title, job skills, department assignment, tour
  69.       assignment, bid days off, & accession date.  It also
  70.       allows development of weekly work schedules from the
  71.       complement data, with manual adjustment for vacation,
  72.       sick & with out pay leaves.  Also, variable days off
  73.       schedules can be posted.  A history file can also be
  74.       developed, for scheduling versus actual use analysis.
  75.    *  Added Volume, Hours & Productivity program allowing
  76.       tracking of actual volume and hours in each department
  77.       and tour.  A one time entry of each volume category by
  78.       department & tour is developed for use as an automatic
  79.       prompting device for posting of daily volumes and
  80.       hours.  Productivity reports can be called for each
  81.       volume category, tour or department separately or all
  82.       can be called.  A history file is generated to develop
  83.       weekly, accounting period and yearly data, including to
  84.       date data.  Staffing projections can be developed by
  85.       using average daily data generated from the history
  86.       file with input as to per centage for fringe hours,
  87.       increased per centage of productivity and volume.
  88.    *  Version 3.0 has split into two tracks: 1. continues
  89.       with the Industrial Engineers Tool Box title which
  90.       supports use of PC KEY-DRAW; 2. a new title the
  91.       Personal Consultant supports use of Draft Choice,
  92.       eliminating the need for additional directories beyond
  93.       \ALPS.  Basic, C, & Pascal languages are used through
  94.       the systems in the areas that is most advantageous for
  95.       each.
  96.    *  The only executable files remaining with the extension
  97.       .EXE are for the two cad systems and ALPS.EXE, which
  98.       still acts as a process controller.  All the other
  99.       programs have an .OBJ extension and will not execute
  100.       without being called by ALPS.EXE.  This was done to
  101.       assure that the one registry reminder screen in place
  102.       for all of ALPS programs would be seen at least once
  103.       each session, without needing to be tacked onto each
  104.       stand alone program.  When it was attempted to include
  105.       Draft Choice as an .OBJ file call some problems were
  106.       encountered during plot, and it was felt that no real
  107.       advantage could be gained from including bugs
  108.       unnecessarily.
  109.    *  The monitor configuration routine needed in version 2.5
  110.       has been eliminated, and the system is checked for the
  111.       monitor in use.  Graphics screens automatically adjust
  112.       to the monitor detected.
  113.    *  The entry logo screen is seen only once.  All the ALPS
  114.       programs have been streamlined to be more compact and
  115.       with faster menu response where possible and without
  116.       taking chances with faulty entries.
